Wasn't too keen on them at first.... But I do like the white wall tyres and spoke wheels...

Would like to see it without the pillion seat, backrest, bags and windscreen

I agree! In BLACK,she does look really nice as the chrome/aluminum pieces high light it very well ,indeed. But there is one thing that I don't like.Well actually I do,but not the potential, and that's the spoke wheels! WHY?? Because they use tubes in those tires and if,or should I say "WHEN" you get a flat on the road,[which naturally, always seems to be a million miles from home OR a shop, lol] there you're gonna sit til someone with a truck or trailer comes to get ya.Atleast with tubeless tires, you can plug the tire and get to your destination and or a shop to get it fixed if you're not happy with the plug. But all things considered, the LT in BLACK is a really "SHARP" lookin machine. Dave!!!

I don't even like the look as much as cast, nor do i like the insane task of keeping them clean. But the main reasons are that while you may only have a blowout once in your life but when you do you're gonna wish u were on cast wheels. The second like Dave said, fix a flat right there on the side of the road. I have a plug kit inder my side cover and a tiny bicycle pump tied under my lower triple clamp. I'm gonna estimate it will take me an hour to get enough air in it to ride, but i can deal with that more than being stuck out there. (and yes, i know about C02 carts and electric pumps)

As to black.....it looks ok but not a fav color at all. Even if it was i'd never have a black bike due to the maintenance issues. Wouldn't mind getting a set of those badges tho. Already bent to the Tbird tank shape unlike the others people have used makes it a more attractive option.

But ya gotta admit, when a BLACK vehicle is clean and polished, there ain't much out there that stands out like a shiny black vehicle. My last ten vehicles, four trucks, four cars, and two motorcycles, all bought brandy new, were black and did they stand out when polished. .The other seven bikes I owned came in every color under the sun EXCEPT black. So beggars can't be choosers. Oh well!! Dave!!!

If you go look on the other Triumph forum you'll read some stories of guys who have gotten flats on their LTs and there is definitely a tube in there.

So,like I originally posted, the LT,which uses spoke wheels, does NOT use tubeless tires!! Correct??? And that's exactly what prevents me from buying one.IMO,when TRIUMPH did that, they went backwards. The LT looks to be an EXCELLENT machine, and I mean that. However, because the tires are tube type, that factor alone, takes away from it.And to the best of my knowledge, the only motorcycle manufacturer that does use tubeless tires on spoke wheels,is Moto Guzzi. The spokes on their wheels are located on the OUTER edges of the rim, instead of in the middle, like the standard motorcycle wheel. Now,if Triumph used mag wheels on the LT,like the standard Tbird uses,"THEN" and IMO,they would "DEFINITELY" have a winner. When you've driven motorcycle for a loooooooooooooong time, you learn these things from experience and the worst thing that could happen to ya when riding a motorcycle is a flat tire on the road,DUH!!,and you CAN'T FIX IT without removing the wheel. Dave!!!!

Dave!!! you could add the bags , sissy bar, windscreen to the Commander and basically have the same thing as the LT but with what i think are really cool looking wheels and a lighter machine There problem solved

currently on a slow Harley but will have another Triumph eventually

Good point!! BUT!!!! Does the Commander have that nice plush seat or,any of the other ammentities that come standard on the LT?? You could add em,or you could swap the wheels from the Commander to the LT,but at what cost?? Follow me?? I think there's only a 1000 dollar difference between the two machines. So now which bike is the better deal, the LT, or the Commander?? Dave!!!
