Not missing or anything that dramatic, but just not as smooth as when I started out. It doesn't seem to really affect the ride, but I have noticed this change several times when out for the whole day riding. Am I just imagining things or has anyone else found something like this happening with their 1600 engine? My bike is still new, a 2013 with just under 6,000 miles on it that I bought new this past May.

After a hour or even more it seems like it runs it's best and smoothest. Could be me becoming one with the bike tho, who knows. in any case it has never felt rougher. What kind of oil do you use, brand, weight, type?

I hadn't thought about oil, and since my last oil change was at 1,000 miles, and now I am up to 6,000, maybe I should get the oil changed and see if that makes a difference. With the weather turning colder I think my riding season is almost over anyway, so an oil change before covering it up in the garage might be in order.

I usually swap my oils out at no more than 4k KLM and i use full synthetic. I just got this bike this year and i noticed a nice difference in shifting and engine noise when i went to 10/40, usually use Amsoil but harder to find in the fall in Canada so i decided to try the Mobile 1 4t 10/40 and the shifting was much better than that castrol stuff thats for sure. Good to change the oil before putting it away anyways, then you are good to go in the spring.
