Finally gave up on the stock seat after a bumpy weekend ride. Dont normally get a numb butt from riding but after a hundred miles around north yorkshires back roads, things were different. So sunday was used up by having a ride through to the dealer at york, and knowing that they had a Lh in stock my butt would again be happy. Never thought of how the *uck I was to get it home, back seat being used up by Mrs1600. The dealer gave me some tie down straps (they get six with every bike they get, so ask for some when next at your branch, they are good kit) and I managed to strap it onto the back of the sissy bar. Anyway - dead chuffed with it. It does feel a little higher than the stock and at first just as hard. When riding things fall into place, the seat takes out a lot of small shocks from the road and you feel the differance in the two within a mile. I had the pillion LH and that 'gap', so now things look tidy again. I did notice that the LH rider seat on its own does not give the back uplift stiffness untill you fit the pillion LH. Went for a fifty miler tonight and never gave my butt a second thought.

My first natural instinct is to breathe. My second is to evade tax's.

I agree completely , I have the LH rider seat and couldn't be happier. On both test rides I took with dealer bike my butt was complaining. After 2 hours on my own bike nothing. The seat takes the shape of your bottom and at the same time is firm and soft.
Good stuff !
