| Posted : 22 May 2014 - 11:12 Post title : Mirror Fix | | My storm is 5 months old and one of the mirrors developed a fault in that it won't stay in place when the bike goes over 80kmh.
It was annoying the hell out of me.
It looks like there is a small metal insert inside the mirror stalk housing and it had worn away.
Solution, buy a length of 12mm copper pipe which fits snugly over the stalk, cut of a 10mm length and place over the mirror stalk and then bolt the mirror back on the bike.
The copper pipe will begin to mushroom when the mirror is tightened holding it firmly in place.
A 10 min job and saved a lot of time at the dealers.
Sorted.

A few of us have also tried using small 'tap washers'.
They also 'squash' down and stop that annoying movement.
