Hey all.

Just had my second service done at 6,000ks, there was a leaking coolant hose that they sealed up.

Anyway I just took her for a spin through the hills and the bike is noticeably different, it is alive with torque
and feels like its jumping out of its skin, any more and I'd need Wings, so I'm wrapped.

Whether things are starting to bed in or what, the bike is noticeably different for the better.

I have found the long haul seat takes the sting out of jolts from rough road surface
not sure why the shocks/suspension gives you such a harsh jolt maybe someone
could enlighten me there to some adjustment.

The other good thing I have found I was following the coast line the other day and got dumped on big time
by a rain squal off the sea for about 20 minutes, I was really impressed how the bird was sitting solid
and Inspired confidence to push through it.

So all round really pleased with this machine and thinking now of some of the mods I have seen here on this site
great stuff.

Hey Paladin.

Gee you got in early ,the second service is not due untill 10,000klms...or 6,000 miles .,Looks like you may have got the numbers confused, the dealer should have told you to ride away and come back at 10k
The jolts with the suspension were fixed when I installed the IKON shocks ,they are bliss with adjustments for dampening and spring rebound.
I went to the Bathurst Rally last week through the mountains and back roads at Sofala to Sandy Hollow to Newcastle and they handled perfectly ,well worth the purchase price of $700 AUD.

The second service should include balancing the throttle bodies, as well as checking and updating the ecm. Both of these will have a posutive effect on performance.

Was that a voluntary service at 3'000 miles Pappa, or was it simply for fixing & fitting the gasket for the drizzle syndrome?
