Hey all

Noticed this site, looks pretty good

Ive had my bird for about 6 months now, have been fairly happy with the accessory range,
fitted long haul dual seat and twin t bars, feels pretty good.

But the sissy bar and rack set up is not for me , a lil too tall and they want probably too many dollars for it.

Thinkin of something that will suit, shorter maybe custom chrome that has a rack.
any ideas ?

imo - with those short TORs fitted, I'd be doing something with the pulley... CHROME

Here is setup with and without...

I got a new honda shadow sissy bar (80 quid - ebay with rack) and am making my own quick release brackets. The honda one is much smaller which is what I wanted and it will only be on a few times or when I tour. I just like to make my own stuff. The Triumph bar is of course very good quality which is great if you have it attached 24/7 and work 24/7 to pay for it.

Yes I have to agree. $500+ is a bit much to pay for a sissy bar/rack. Plus the thing is shaped weird and I can't even fit my saddleman sissy bar bag on it.

Nearly had them made ,then I got the lh pillion seat fitted (much bigger) so in the bin they went and onto mk2. The side panel on the Bluenose Bird is a really good addition, I noticed it first when I saw his bike, just a nice bit of custom. I need to get a union jack on mine somewhere, I like the thought of it being a British product, no offence to the rest of the world but a good brit product is getting few and far between.

Welcome Paladin, hope you get something good from the site.

Sissy bar expensive and too big IMO. Be good to see Mat's solution.

Yes light bar would look much better shorter. Will look into that mod. Twin light setup Lee (Birby) has gone for is ??ber

Just finished specing my new T/bird and added the short TOR's but looking at the comments and pics I need a quick re-visit to add the Chrome pulley !!!

If you can keep your head when all around are losing theirs, then you haven't grasped the gravity of the situation !!!.

Eight.... Welcome!

Be careful - that Chrome pulley is expensive!
Some other members here have powder coated / sprayed theirs black... I can't remember who! Hopefully they will know who they are and post a comment here.

i did my pulley in hi temp ceramic coating (looks like it is polished aluminium, just like the wheels)
they can do the whole pulley or just the faces on it leaving the toothed area untouched.

I had my america for just on 5 years what a great lil machine, but traded it on the bird
the features and the possibilities of this model are just too much to ignore and as mat said about quality, everyone seems to have a kind word about a Trumpy.

I was out an about the other day another rider said to his mates when I pulled up , hey its one of those bonnes on steroids!
Hell i'll take that

they have started to do powder coating in the last month, but most of their work is ceramic coating.
it is more durable than powder coating and doesn't scratch.
