I looked in the manual and the only thing that is not just a visual inspection is the oil/filter change. It said they are supposed to update the ECU for any new info. Is that a big deal? I'm thinking I can do it for about $50 or less.

If you do it yourself at least make sure you have the receipts for genuine /specified parts/consumables. although if you do have a warranty issue you might have to fight your corner if a triumph dealer aint done your service.
i agree though that the costs for what they do are astronomical.

Just had 6k service this weekend, not to bad at £180, however need to prepare for the 12k in August.... Apparrently that one will be about £480 plus I'll be needing another front and rear tyre. Looks like this service will cost best part of £800...
Bikes might be cheap... Running them certainly aint!

I guess I could handle $84 US dollars. I wish they would do that here. But there is no way I am paying $704 for the 12K service. I am going to do what I can do and have the dealer do valve jobs and things I can't handle. Also I am finding an alternative source for tires possibly internet.
