Hi Keets,
they (Rizoma Contacts) are without a doubt, very very very nice.
Fantastically made - simply perfect, as you would expect from Italians.

BUT....

I saw that they didn't work for me!
There was too much 'silver/chrome' up at the controls!!
I have the chrome switch housing and levers - so adding the silver Contacts just made the controls and bars too much chrome and silver!
I needed contrast and so put the black rubber grips back on!

I'm going to try and get them (Rizoma Contacts) exchanged for the black version - but I'm worried that the black will wear off with time

I also found that when I fitted them - it is best to put the original stock end plugs back on as they fit better!
You will see what I'm saying when you get them.

Hope you like them better than I.
They ARE FANTASTIC grips - just didn't 'fit in' with my vision I have.

Regards

I dont think the black will wear off mate...I searched these grips on the internets and I didnt find anyone who had that prob. I too am going with the chrome levers etc. My 'Bird is black so I dont think I will overload it.

Cheers for the tip on the tube Birdy

AAAAAAAARRRGH.................!
One other VERY IMPORTANT point mate:

- They didn't quite fit!

You have to mill-out 3 mm from the throttle grip, otherwise it wont twist!
I believe (if my memory serves my right) that the Triumph throttle grip neck is 37 mm and the Rizoma's are 40 mm!
When you place the switch housing back over the grip where the cables are, it comes into contact with the neck of the grip and therefore doesn't twist so freely (scrapes).

They are probably fine for a HD switch housing, but not OK for the Triumphs.

Look at the pictures below of the RIZOMA throttle grip, you can see where the garage had to mill-out the neck for me:

Here is a picture of the standard stock throttle grip from Triumph:

Hope that helps!

EDIT:
Did I use the right term:
- 'mill-out'
or should I have said
- 'turn-out'
?

No - they're the standard grips - I put them back on.

I'll probably go to my dealer sometime soon and ask about swapping them for the black versions of the same Rizoma Contacts.
