Loved it on my street/track 1970 Datsun - very nice sound and interestng tunability options for a car with sidedraft SU carbs. Not sure I'd like it so much on the Thunderbird, in terms of sound or interaction with the EFI.

I suppose it really has to do more with what look your trying to accomplish. As far as the tunable silencers are concerned, it won't make any difference in performance. Your only going to see between 4 - 6 hp gain from any of the TB exhausts offered. With a performance filter 6 - 8 tops. Don't know about the BC filter yet. They're claiming around 12 hp gain with the PC.

I think they are actually claiming 12HP with that AND pipes/filter. So subtract whatever the pipes/filter and tune if u use a custom tune got you. I think with my setup, pipes, gutted cat, filter seal removed and mark's tune, i probably wouldn't gain near enough to make it worthwhile.

im liking the look and the optional tips for those. also looks like i could quiet down when i go to some states that have stirct noise laws. but also once i get the headers done they are matching Inside diameter for inlet.

firstly I don't like the way they look.
I could only find a vid where they were fitted on a harley and on idle I thought wow that sounds fantastic. as soon as the throttle opened up my immediate thoughts were it sounded like a loose fart.. thats a real shame because nine out of ten after market exhausts sounds like a loose fart on dec...
I hope when my custom prototype is finished it won't sound like that...
this will FREAK me out... just gotta wait and see I guess.

I always loved the looks of the ones with the flat end caps. Just thought it was cool - looks like an alien exhaust or something.

Sam supplied his Predator headers for the R3 with a Supertrapp.

I seriously considered supertrapps for my build. I think they are a great option and for the right build would be perfect. I think you'd have to go the sport/performance cruiser look for them to work though as most any other look they would be out of place on a cruiser.
