I have gloss black slimbags and a DMY touring trunk for sale. All are in good condition, a few minor scuffs. I also have EZ brackets for the slimbags with posts for the Thunderbird with and without the backrest. The whole set would retail for about $1000 new. I'll sell all for $550 plus shipping. I would prefer not to separate.

Here's a photo of the bike with bags and trunk installed . The trunk mounts on the stock luggage rack. i made some adapter that allow the rack to be attached without the sissy bar. They go with it.

My "other half" would LOVE for me to get that backrest/trunk. However, what is your feeling on the 'sturdiness' of the Matazu? I've heard others comment that their saddle bags (hardstreet knockoffs) are quite flimsy. Is this solid enough to safely support a passenger? Waterproof??

I too looked at the Mutazu saddlebags and went with Hardstreet instead. You're right, they are very flimsy. The trunk, however, is fine. It is sturdy and I had no problems with it in the 3 years it was on my bike. The downside of the Hardstreet bags is they are a little small. I switched to Tsukayu strong bags and had intended to use the trunk but because of the way the Tsukayu lids open there is interference with the trunk so I'm going to use a sissy bar bag on the back instead.

I wanted to use the same truck for my wife. Could you post a picture of the bracket you made to be able to use the trunk without the sissy bar?
Thanks

Will your wife actually fit into the trunk? Have her use the rear seat instead. Much more comfortable.
Only a recommendation.

Here is a photo of the adapter. It is just a piece of round steel rod the same dimension as the sissy bar. It is drilled and tapped for the stock screws and cut so it is flush with the top of the luggage rack when installed. The trunk installs over the top of it.

I'll tell you what, my preference is to sell it all together but if you want the trunk with adapters I''ll let it go for $100 plus shipping. it will essentially be a bolt on if you have the stock rack.

My wife and daughter both fit into the seat fine. They found it much more comfortable and secure feeling than the stock sissy bar/backrest. The stock sissy bar/backrest reclines backward too far.

I don't see how the trunk works with the backrest/luggage rack combo. I know you take off the backrest pad but what about he sissy bar itself? mine is the quick detach luggage rack/backrest set up. I tried to look up the trunk on line but could not find it. any help would be appreciated, I am interested in the trunk...

Take off the sissy bar and slide the adapters in the location the sissy bar slides into in the two quick detach arms. The luggage rack will bolt on with the stock screws. The trunk then clamps to the rack.
