| Posted : 09 Apr 2010 - 12:35 Post title : Comunication help | | Right, my bro and I have got a couple of Midland radios with PTT . I have put the speackers in the lids and the mikes which are the boom types, so I can us it on my open face helmet as well.
Now we tried them out and standing still were crystal clear. Once we get over 40 mph the wind noise makes it impossible to hear what the other is saying. We have the mikes inside full faced helmets and I cant for the life of me think of a way to isoate the noise.
What do the rest of you do who use comunications?

Nothing... .that's why I love motorcycles
However, to be a bit more helpful, I would suggest you ditch the boom mic and go with a throat mic. I have a fair bit of experience with comms under 'less than ideal noise situations' and a throat mic will get rid of that. You also don't have a lil foam phallus sharing space with you in your helmet (a nice plus).
