Morning Lads ,
Have finally found some time to finish my 1.5 inch Drag Bars.
They are 35 inches wide and a riser height of 6.5 inch
Currently making another set that will have lower risers so that they will just clear the tank like the T Bars do.
Full stainless steel and lots of time .Did not have to relocate brake lines at all or throttle cables.
Had a lot of trouble trying to get the bend right ,had to use an old fashioned roller to get the radius curve I wanted.

Nice job Steve

When you get bored try a set of 70's style Z bars, not the current stuff, they look like crap.

How much difference does it feel compared to your old bars ?

Magpie.
The set with the 6.5 inch risers were a little high for me .
The second set with the 4.5 inch risers place the bars about one inch clearance from the tank on full lock and about two inches forward of where the T Bars are when fitted.
Off for a ride now in 21 0 celc/fine and sunny.
Looks like I have nailed the placement and the look that I wanted.
Burleigh Bars want $700 a set for full stainless like mine.
Photos attached of the second set with the lower risers.

Very nice work Steve. I agree with you about the lower risers. The bars look like part of the bike now whereas the higher set looked a little disjointed from the rest of the bike. You have perfected that bar radius too, brilliant! When does full time production start?

Slotter 32
The radius I wanted was to be the same curve as the front of the tank (,when you look down from above) .It took a lot of time and effort and lots of cardboard templates to get the correct radius I was looking for.
Took it out for a run today and it was spot on.I have included some nylon bungs that I ran up on the lathe and inserted them from both end before welding ,to take care of any unwanted vibrations.
Cheers.
Steve

Steve having the bar radius follow the front of the best looking tank in the business was a logical and smart choice in bringing the 2 parts together and complement each other in the way they do. So how much and when does production start?????
