The Corbins I hear are very good but pricey, never tried one so can't comment on comfort. I will say that I like the standard HD seats though.

is it john or mark i have the triumph long haul duel but had it customized by meancitycycles and now it feels real nice but the drivers back rest still pushes me to far forward somebody help me here does triumph think everyone is 5'6 and like sitting on the front of the seat . here's my seat know

The standard Triumph solo is crap in comparison but I have not sat in the dual touring Triumph seat so I can't compare them. I also think that the Corbin is the better looking seat. But thats personal choice I guess.

I had the foam in the riders back rest cut to half thickness, using the same cover, no difference with comfort and much less forward push.

Had a Corbin on a previous bike and it was absolutely fabulous. But the price they are asking for their T'bird dual seat is astronomical. Also, Corbin need to bring their web site into the nineteenth century (let alone the 21st!). They have a great number of customisations for their seats, but they don't show what they look like. If I am spending that amount of dosh (probably not) I would like to see what it might look like before I order.

I had the long haul seat as well, and my experience was about the same. I think it all depends on the shape of one's butt, and how much you weigh. Everyone is different, and will have different needs in a seat. I read a lot of feedback from riders who love the long haul seat. For me it made my butt go numb in 40 minutes or less. I ended up selling it to a forum member at the other site. My current seat is actually the original stock seat custom modified by a local seat maker specifically to fit my butt. I can ride several hours without issue, but even this one isn't perfect. If I could afford to do it again I'd take the lessons I've learned with this seat, and have it redone again.

and have done 5000kms on it and it is the best seat yet(it took 1000kms to fit my arse)
when I had the dual long haul with back rest I had to dermal some of the bracket in the seat so it would go back a bit further and im only 5.6.

I just got back from 300 miles on the dual long haul one piece and I'm good to go for another 300 tomorrow. It just works for me. I do us a sheepskin cover from Alaska Leather on it to keep sweating down in this heat. I was going to get a Corbin seat but 2 years ago the factory backrest did not work with the Corbin. I had a Corbin on one of my touring bikes and it was great. I have had Mustang seats that were great. I wrote Mustang and they were not planning on making one for the Thunderbird but if they do I loved the ones I had on my Shadow and Vulcan.
Nothing can ruin a motorcycle ride faster than an uncomfortable seat.
