The rear Fender is a Standard without anything. I got it from the bay, ebay ... It is called "BK Stiletto long ". I had to Change the struts as you can see. They are straight normally and I cut it to follow the curve of the Fender.

Controls are from Behringer and cable is Stahlflex, don't know english term. behringer is a french producer of mainly racing stuff.

You did a very nice job with it. I have always been looking at alternatives to the stock fender, and like seeing creative alternatives.

I absolutely love it .... Top Marks

A terrific job, ... I also went for a paint job which featured the TBird logo, but I think your idea is really neat I love the simplicity of it, well done.

Cheers

Have you also done something with the radiator ?

Excellent Hofi Full marks all round, love the simplicity, normally I don't go for the bug eye look of twin headlamps, but on your Bird they look almost cool I can see quite a bit of money thrown at the bars/risers/controls/mirrors/brake lines.

Well done.

That's right mate it looks a bit like a bug and it was some weeks I was thinking about streetfighter lamps but you know here in my country we have a technical check and many laws for nothing and everything. Therefore I have to look for checked, marked and certified stuff otherwise the guys in uniform can take my bike and than nothing with riding. it's much easier down under. Cost? Yes suddenly it became more and more. It takes some flowers for my minister for finance getting what I/TB needs.

Greetings to my Qeensland How is the flood this year?

i think the money you have spent on the bike could have bailled Cyprus

fantastic to see a clean, smart alternative set up on the front bars,
interestingly ... do the new mirrors allow you to see behind without pulling your shoulders in?

noticed on one of your draft images you had short pipes but you seem to have the longer ones for your final bird

racing green - class

are you happy with the rear shocks?

Hi Hofi, We have too many regulations as well, it can turn you off from custom bikes/cars.

The floods were once again devastating for many, my area was ok but further north they did a lot of damage.

Hofi,

Nice work. I think this view is where it works the best for me. Birdy and I worked for a long time trying to look at alternative stripe patterns for the bird and the bulbous tank with nary a straight line made it more than a challenge. I have to say we never thought of that position, but it works.

Looks like you did a good job on the rear fender as well. Are you running the stock taillight or something else? I'm sure folks here would like to see some clearer shots of the rear of the bike since that is the most unique part of it.

BTW, if you are ever up in the Frankfurt area look me up for a ride. I'm just north of there on the edge of the Taunus hills... er, sorry, mountains.

Absolutely Awesome!!! You must give us more details on the controls modifications!! There is no way you will suffer with the throttle breakage many of us have suffered (no plastic bits in those grips/controls). Many have also been looking for alternative throttle and clutch levers, so what did you use? Part numbers, websites, etc.???

Outstanding job!!

I did the rear fender winter 2011/2012 including painting. I was using the short open pipes last year but I think the long ones are looking better. The sound with the open ones is too loud in my opinion as well. The mirrors quiet small and I can see what's going on behind me. Actually it is important seeing the envious drivers with there Japanese/Italian/German bike ... Shocks? Yeah good question it's scratching in every curve and I have the second set of pegs on it. Any idea? Are there better ones?

I think Cyprus getting enough money from us Germans ...

Uh yes, control buttons .. drives me crazy. That is "only" changing switches in buttons. You need some relais or electronic boxes making out of the buttons switches again. I am just travelling and have no pictures of this night mare with me but will put some in when I am back.
