Hi All, I am moving house soon and my new garage is long and thin so turning my Thunderbird around is going to be a pain. Has anyone got experience of a motorcycle turntable (spinner) that I can solid fix into the garage?
Thanks for any tips.

Hi Landbray

Just google them, there are loads for sale specifically for motorbikes. Found this video on the net showing a guy using a home made one - it even gives you the build spec if you fancy having a go yourself

Problem is there are such things available but the 1600 doesn't have a center stand. So most won't work. Companies like;

That's kinda my point. There are a few around in the US and Australia but not much in the UK. I am getting to the point that I will need to fabricate it myself.
Thanks for the inputs guys

Harbor Freight here in the USA makes a motorcycle dolly that works well. IT's on sale now for USD 60.

Not sure if UK had Harbor Freight or the equivalent.

My riding buddy has one for his Honda Valkyrie that is one bike heavier than the Thunderbird (not too many out there heavier) and it's easy to
move in the garage. Perhaps someone on your side of the pond makes one.

Lack of a center stand on all new bikes sucks. A design like this would solve this issue and it would not be real hard to build one if you have a metal shop and some good casters.

Here's a 20% at HF. I put it on my smart phone and they took it same as printed.

What's wrong with just backing it in?? On occassion,ya have to do that anyways in order to get into a parkin spot on the street. My shop measures 28' square and I could just drive it in and turn it around if I wanted to,but I don't.I always back it in.I guess it kinda gives me backing practice for those occassions when I do have to back into a parking space.Plus, the Tbird is really not that BIG or HEAVY to manuver around, weighing in at 800 lbs.And then, I'm an old fart, and just alittle guy at an even 6' to boot. My last scooter weighed in at 1000 lbs with accessories and had a 29 inch seat height compared to our TBird's 27 1/2 inch seat height, yet I never had any problems backing it up.But I will say this:Honda's Gold Wing scares me because of its size and weight and I could understand a turntable if that's what you were riding. Dave!!!

Dave,

That's why Wings have reverse gear.

Sometimes you want to move say 4 or 5 bikes in one garage and the dolly really is nice for that. Or there could be a really steep driveway and it's impossible to back the bike up.

Is there an English UK version of Harbor Freight.

Is there a Harbor Freight in China that sells only USA built stuff?

Not all wings come with the Reverse gear as it's an option. But never mind the reverse gear, just sit on one and try to balance it. Granted it is an excellent machine for cross country driving, but not so excellent for bangin around town or runnin errands.lol Dave!!
