(We have had a few motorcycle deaths over the xmas break). So the heavy hand comes down and pulls over all motorcyclists for a defect.
Anyway to my ride, the bike scrapes easy (foot pegs) seems to scrape well before the speedmaster used to, or the storm handles a lot better??? A few more rides and see how the tyres are wearing, but Im sure I'm not getting the lean angle of the speedie.

I scraped the tits off my pegs in the 1st week of owning my 1600.
Eventually the hero knobs on the underside file down , may give you a bit more edge.
In all, they are, a great bike to ride.
Happy riding.
Cheers, Bussa.

Hi Jack, I had the same experience when i got my storm, the Thunderbike fork caps I fitted made a huge improvement as they lift the front of the bike (and the pegs) a good 20-25mm off the ground. Link The next improvement was cutting off the tit things that hit the road. Some time after that I bought some Hagon Nitro rear shocks and ordered them 1" longer than stock, fasteddy is the man to buy these through. Link I used to scrape the catbox riding 2up, I'm running mine catless but i doubt the cat would scrape now the Hagons are fitted. It's still possible to scrape a peg if i hit a big enough bump with the bike leaned over cornering but I can ride the beast down most twisty roads pretty fast and throw it around without anything scraping. I found i did have to modify my riding style a bit though, just a matter of slowing down a bit more before tight corners than you would on a sportbike!

I have ordered a set of pipes from Eddy (so I also will be catless) just a waiting game now.

I have some hagon progressive front springs to fit but the bike is so much better already I haven't felt the need to fit them yet.

R the Hagons fully servicible (can you pull the guts out)? They seem cheap enough.
