I ran the Short Tors with the $10.00 45 degree tube. I think the best , for a tight arse like myself is the Gutted Cat option.
The $10.00 option sounds alright around town but I think the power is cut when on the open road and around the 100 -120 klm speed. This was even after getting it checked by the dealer to make sure the Tune was OK.
Going for one more squirt today to see if initial feelings about lack of power are correct. Then I think I will change to Short Tors , gutted Cat , performance air filter , rubber ring removal and under seat wind thingies removed.
That's the advantages about being between jobs.....plenty of time to play

Like i have posted before, i removed the seat duct and used the dizze decat tune and added 3% more fuel to compensate for the intake and the bike just came alive with power. It accelerates hard at street speeds OR freeway roll-ons. But just a week ago I started using Tarkmalbot's power commander map converted to hex file and again added 3% more fuel because his intake is stock like dizzes was. It seems like it might be even better, but still testing to be sure. Either one however is considerably stronger than the decat map with no intake mod. I have the 45 degree elbows and short tors too. You didn't say what tune you are using tho? You might wanna pull the seat duct and try the one i posted in the repository. Thats the dizze decat i added fuel too. It may require removing the seat cober to remove the duct because some like mine had screws on the inside too. But if you get the same power gain i did it's more than worth it. Biggest gain to date easily. This new tune i'm using may be better like i said, but i'm unsure how safe it is tho because the fueling seems leaner in the tables which could be bad. Im now trying to determine if it really is is by comparing maps, but there are questions i need answered before i can be sure.

If you're losing high end power with the least restrictive option, it probably means your tune is not OK. How did your dealer check it? Did he put it on a dyno and check the A/F?
