Hi there Colin,

That look very very very similar to the one Joe uses for all his road trips!
He fits it over the OEM rear fender chrome rack. It fits very well too.

But I'd be aware of one thing - I heard (from Joe himself I believe) that they stopped making this model bag a while ago!

So maybe it's a smaller version?
I don't suppose you have the overall dimensions?

Important is that the space between the two outer pockets is enough to fit over the rear fender.

I know I've not helped much - but that's all I can say about it right now.

Leave the pork pies for now - get the sausage rolls while they're hot!

You pretty much covered it Lee. I tried to find the differences in the bags and wasn't completely successful as they don't have the same level of detail (that I could find) online. I did however find these....

The Traveler HD (my bag)

and the Speedpack

Basically the shoulder width is the only part I don't know about. That said, the Twisted Throttle info page lists the Speedpack as fitting the HD soft tail, Honda VTX 1800 and the Triumph Rocket III so if I was a betting man, I'd be willing to put a bottle of the highlands finest on the line that it would fit.

Be aware though, you do need a rack. That yellow pad you see above did not work and I had damage down to the metal on my rear fender. (it was coming back from this trip to go to the painter so I didn't care, but you should know). The tubular rack I have on the bike in it's Galaxy Grey livery did a fine job of keeping the paint safe and fit right over the top and sat nice and securely.

I'm happy with the bags connection bag. It's easy to manage, relatively quick to pull all your gear off the bike and it's never let a drop of water in. Lee just picked up his own BC bag from my house on his last trip, so he should have an opinion himself in the coming months. (perhaps after the next thaw)

Thanks , Joe, Lee. I managed to get the pack on a sale or return basis, so no real harm if it doesn't fit.

P.S. Handy knowing the the type of rack your using with it Joe.

If this bag works out ok, i'll maybe manage 2x Tee shirts and more than 3x socks (not pairs of ) plus a bottle of the good stuff, on the next run.

Well, the bag-connection bag arrived.
Fits rather nicely, it is big though. Your right Lee, you will get more than A bottle in it.

A few pics incase anyone else has any questions as to the fitment.

For anyone that's interested, I can vouch for the waterproofing of these bags, after a run through Glencoe , with the worst the weather could throw at us. Contents remained perfectly dry.
