Hi to all.I have a bit of a problem.I have short TORS and a K&N air filter.I originally put tune 20306 in and had problems with a buzz through the bars at 3,000 RPM which is 110 kph (cruising speed).I put tune 20359 in and it runs much better but still a slight tingle. The dealer said he thought it was the pipes resonating but I have rubber mounted the rubber mounts and stil buzz.Rabbi has suggested I try tune 20310.Anybody got any suggestions or does any one think this problem can be tuned out or do I just live with it?I have done the spacer thing in the rubber mounts for the risers.Any ideas?Cheers from OZ.

Oih AussieDuck What year model is your Bird.

Early Model Birds, 2009 with SAI ( Secondary Air Injection) Shorties and Sports Aircleaner Should have 20306.

Late Model Birds, like late 2010 and 2011 Which in this country dont have SAI. with Shorties & Sports Aircleaner Should have 20359.

My bike is a 5th month 2011 and I have Shorties and Sports Aircleaner and the 20359 tune. I also have Rivco Riser on Mine and I dont seem to have much buzzing in the bars but there is a bit ( very little bit ) of a 1600cc thump/vibration at around the 2700 to 3000 RPM area under slight load. but as I said I think that from those 2 big explosions going off straight under you.

Dont think you have much to worry about, Just keep wringing it's neck and keep grinning.

Thats really odd because at least 2 of us noted that when we got short TORs the bike vibrated LESS. I really don't know what to tell you. Theres a few guys that did this spacer thing where you put spacers on the screws that mount the bars to the triple clamp, but i notced no difference at all. Maybe because i have T bars. But i HAVE noticed nearly anything you do to this bike will affect vibes to some degree.

Yep, I second that.

The thing about the bars, is they really need to be isolated. So, I'm not sure if you get the spacer set from one of our members like I did.
But, I can jerk my bars slightly against the rubber. In other words, I can, with effort, move them independently of the trees.
They bounce right back, of course.

What really soaked up the road buzz for me, was new shocks. Now if I could just get a bit more pull back on those bars.....

I have the spacers in.Did 300 k,s yesterday and it didn,t seem as bad.I have the Rivco risers on and the standard grips.Might put the Kuryakyn grips back and see what happens then.No use in having everything perfect cos that,s no fun.Cheers.By the way which shocks are you refering to.Front or back?I,m just about to put some rear Hagon 2810,s on.

I eventually had to go the whole hog to 'mask' & damper down the high frequency hand numbing buzzing.... Kury grips , Riser mod and liquid bar-snake. Seemed to be the easier option as anything else i.e harmonic resonator bar weights etc would require mod'ing & drilling out the bars.

Hey, fab,

I think it just Gels so it dampens the vibration resonance propagation?

I tried a set last year ,if they are the same, the knurled sections didn't line up with our clamps and they just didn't look right.I didn't mount them properly as they were on loan and would have required drilling to suit our switch gear etc.
