Does anybody know that may have or had both a R3 and TBird if there is any similarity between the two where it comes to mounting Windscreens or Fairings? I'm having my Bird sprayed this winter but am going to purchase a Fairing now so it's ready for the shooter in December. Problem is many have made Fairings that fit the R3 but no manufacturer I have talked with so far has actually tested their fitment on a 2010+ TBird. They've asked if the R3 and Bird are similar for Windscreen mounting?

the fork tubes are bigger on the rocket so you would have to use thunderbird mounts and try and adapt a rocket windscreen too it?
i think fasteddy sells the mounting kits to suit the tbird forks.

I sort of figured the tubes would be larger to accomodate the extra weight of the R3. I have the OEM Windscreen and OEM Mounts on my Bird. I guess the real question is what is the Horizontal and Vertical measurements of the R3 mounts Vs. the TBird mounts? If they are close the R3 bracket will probably work or be adaptable for mounting a fairing to the TBird. Thanks.

Actually, only the recent R3, the roadster is heavier by a notible degree. the standard R3 was about 30 or 40 Lbs heavier than the Tbird !The latest roadster model jumped up to i think just over 800 Lbs tho. Still not a big difference. It's amazing too because if you look at them parked next to each other the R3 looks huge and dwarfs the Tbird
