I ran into a buddy I used to work with today and he's the proud owner of a 2012 Storm. We used to talk about my bike all the time when we were in the same company and would stand out back staring at it, but he had a Harley of some sort back then. I can't remember which model it was, but he says the Storm is better in every way. He noticed that Triumph had a 0% APR deal going which he couldn't pass it up so he went for it. Of course I had to drive home, get on my bike, and meet back up with him so that I could show off the new pipes and DizzE tune, which he loved. His Storm is totally stock at this point and I offered to make him elbows, install his exhaust, and re-tune for him if he wants to go that route. I also told him about our lovely forum so hopefully he'll be making an appearance at some point. It's amazing how much information flows here that the dealers and service department mechanics are completely oblivious to. Anyway, he's already decided that he made the right decision and now I have another Bird owner to ride with around here.

Can't believe the price of a new bike over there - and now you get 0%. I only got 0% by paying in full for my ride

Good work on the convert. Britain needs 'Triumph Missionaries'. I actually reckon there are hundreds of HD people wish they could change. I think once ridden there is no going back.

yes Mat, that is why most HD pilgrims refuse to ride anything else. They are afraid that something will be better and the illusion will be gone...

Brack: Did the dealer offer the 0 APR deal to him or did he find it out ahead of time? i went to the Triumph website and they made no mention of it. I have a buddy that is about to pull the trigger.

Actually, he said the dealer had no clue and tried to give him a 5.9% rate. He said he got on the website and saw a one month only (pretty sure September) 0% deal and had to tell the dealer about it so they could verify before giving him the rate.

doesn't surprise me i had to tell my dealer about the $1100 extras package when i got my bird in may, they had no idea , goes to show yea that if the dealers promoted the triumphs the way h-d does their bikes our t-birds would rule the road

currently on a slow Harley but will have another Triumph eventually
