All of a sudden, after quite a few years of nothing going wrong, I have had five people write me about their grips throttle tab breaking in the past two months. Clearly something is wrong for this many to have broken and I have contacted Kuryakyn about it. I am also going to collect all the ones I have sold that have broken and turn them into the company en mass to seeif I can get replacements for those who have bought them from me.

If you got them within the last year write me and I will tell you what to do.

Hi Eddy,

Not to dissuade you from looking into this issue but I think the problem may be the sharp edged throttle stop inside the switch housing. Sensiblepete posted good pictures of this in a thread called "Grips". My ISO Grip broke on the throttle side and I believe this was the issue. That, in combination with a habit that I noticed I had of applying forward pressure on the throttle when braking. I installed new Arlen Ness Deep Cut Comfort grips and filed that edge off before re-assembly.

I wasn't afraid of putting ISO grips back on I just really liked the look of the Arlen Ness.

sorry I don't know how to link to the aforementioned post.
