Is the cat box stainless ? I would think so being in a place that would be subjected to the worse elements.

I can't speak for all cat boxes, but mine is plastic with litter, but you're right about the worst elements.

Seriously, it's stainless.

Test it with a magnet. stainless is non magnatic.
