The rot continues with the Thunderbird accessory list. I was informed today the Chrome bar end weights are no longer available to us here in Australia. Not sure about the rest of the world but here in the so called "Lucky Country" Triumph no longer support their customer base with the so called "extensive range" of accessories. So this brings the list of deleted items now to being chrome pulley, chrome wheels, chrome water manifold and now chrome bar end weights.

Mods: Chrome wheels, chrome forks, chrome water manifold, chrome switch blocks, front axle covers, Speedmaster tank badges, chrome pulley, chrome swing arm covers, chrome lower belt guide, chrome upper and lower fork yokes, deuce risers, kuryakan iso grips, chrome fork nut and centre bearing caps

If you buy any accessories with Triumph on it here in oz you are paying way toooooooo much for it ....

I have outfit my Thunderbird through MADSS.COM for half the price what it is here and thats including postage.

Triumph , I love you but Fuck me you know how to ( over ) charge !

i have had enough of the dealers too, they want you to put a deposit down and then cant tell you when the parts will be in
there answer is could be 2 to 8 weeks and then still no guarantee, they check peter Stevens says its in stock and they will call in a couple of days when they have it, wait a week call them only to find out peter Stevens didnt have any in stock
i have been waiting 2 weeks for a quote for tyres from my dealer and too other bike shops were 150 to 200 more than what they are worth
the dealers can get fucked from now on. they wonder why we shop overseas and on eBay

Take your aliminum one and polish them. They'll come out just as good, if not better looking. A bit cheaper also.

Sorry to say but if the only Thunderbird was the Storm I wouldn't own a Thunderbird.

All of this OEM accessory deletion by Triumph is perfectly normal, they expect the After Market to pick this market up and run with it while they get back to the business of designing motorcycles and building them. It strips capitol and talent from the core business to supply do-dads. The after market will do a better job than the OEM once they see the demand for the products.

Strange - when they already have the designs and suppliers lined up, all they need do is re-order.

Especially when you consider that some of their parts won't fit without another part (thats not included) it's a real money spinner.
