I was on my way home from work today enjoying the 65 degree weather loping alone at 70mph when Hooligan creeped up a couple of lanes over doing more. As he caught up he looked over at me and was blipping his throttle madly, trying to egg me into roll on. After a few seconds I grabbed the throttle and began to speed past him, he caught up and waved at me like he was planning on leaving me in his dust. I kept on the throttle and he passed slowly I satyed on his tail up to 100+, but since I only have 700 miles on the Bird I backed off. After this I realized that when he was egging me on he had down shifted 1 or 2 gears and I was in 6th all the time. Had I down shifted he would have been crying on the side of the road!

Don't worry , he is still crying as he saw something he liked much better than what he has. And he is frustrated too since he won't admit that.

On my 900cc speedmaster i would often get chosen off by HD guys. Whats funny is that they'd take off and i wouldn't try and race them. I'd just accelerate at my usual pace, but even sedately accelerating i would be keeping up well enough that they thought i had accepted the challenge ! They'd be all proud of themselves and i'd just be laughing inside. the one time i did accept the poor shmuck got his azz whipped by a bike 550cc less than his. :)

That's funny. I just don;t get why anyone gets so excited over bike designs that are outdated. My friend at work bought a brand new Roadking 3 years ago. I asked him if it was used. He was not happy with my question.

I mistakenly ruined a guy's day a couple of years ago. He was getting out of this neat looking car in a parking lot (or is it "car park") and I was admiring the car as I walked by. He looked at me and smiled proudly when I told him how Chevy had really done a great job in styling that year's Camaro. Turned out the car was a new Jaguar XK and the proud owner made a very rude comment to me after I had given him such a nice compliment. You Brits sure are sensitive!
