Others with gutted cats seem to be happy with them, at least the ones who removed only the material and not the entire channels. Kinda worries me, but then i will be using Dizze's no cat tune. Then again it's a richer tune so i wonder if that could make for an even worse flamethrower scenario. hell, i may not even try this anyways.

In fact, thats the only reason i'm doing this. If not for that i would have had zero reason to do it. I'm using his with cat tune now and theres a nice gain with it. But his dyno comparison between the cat tune and no cat shows 9 Ft Lbs improvement and a 5 HP improvement, both i believe peaking at 3500. Quite an improvement for just gutting the cat and loading a tune. So i had to try it. I just hope it's not too loud and doesn't pop too much, as either may cause me to reinstall my unmodded cat. No doubt both will happen, it's just a matter of degree.
