They do look good, and I thought about these when I had my Hardly Dangerous, but what's wrong with the standard T'bird clock (and it's free)

He's from the North East. They don't do digital, and don't even dare to ask about Hartlepool Frenchmen. They do look good though.

3D??? I want one in HD!! [high definition] When I first bought my bird,I also bought a thermometor very similar to the one shown above. It's good to know when the temp gets to the freezin mark so ya don't fall down on ice and go "BOOM". lol It was chromed, had conventional numbers, attached via double sided tape, and I paid three bucks for it from an auto parts store. But when I bought my Cycle Sounds Radio system,it came with a digital thermometor and a digital clock built right into the radio. So I gave the thermometor I had to a friend of mine who stuck it on his 1100 V Star.Dave!!!

They look really nice. But, I never understood the need for a thermometer on a bike??
clock is in the dash?

kinda with you on that one and I normally like minimalism but like the title says its a bit of bling

can aid as a warning for those winter rides especially when its an early start or late finish, up here mid day temp can still be below 4c even although its brilliant sun with little cloud,

clock is in the dash lol but i cant be bothered to flick about with the alternative settings, just leave it on miles to empty

In different climates around the world, the temperature can raise havic, especially when on two wheels, because it goes up and down.I can't speak for anyone else, but I've driven two wheelers thru snow, sleet, ice storms, and sub zero temps. And I'm sure that ya all know that too many times, the local weatherman speaks with forked tonque as his forecast never seems to hold true.lol.lol So!! If the temp should drop like a rock and you're not aware of it,you could take a nasty spill destroying your scooter, and or yourself. Therefore, a thermometor on a two wheeler can become a usefull tool just like the oil, battery, water temp, and fuel gauges. So does that make anymore sense now?? Dave!!!

yeah Dave

concur completely

we often traverse the Pennines and even that conservative rise in height can take us from beautiful sun by the coast to snow and sleet at Hartside Inn.
if we are travelling that way the lass wont wear her raptor gear as she got caught out bad once, ended up shaking like a leaf in a storm wrapped around the rad in the cafe drinking hot tea. a 15 minute rendezvous ended up in a 30 minute resusitation . Weather info that day was sunny and warm!

Well I'm on the 'don't see the point' side of the fence. In a car a thermometer is handy as I'm not in the elements... on a bike, I can assure you I'll know when it's getting near freezing without having to look down and read anything.

But the one's shown look like they fit the bill and for those that like em... enjoy.

Aren't women funny? If we were all placed on top of a mountain for the night, in extreme conditions, only the women would be alive in the morning. Nature has built 'em robust (although I would never dare use that adjective on Mrs. Ted). They can survive extremes of temperature.

AND YET, if I turn the thermostat down by one degree in the house, 5 minutes later Mrs.Ted will be calling out "Have you been messing with that thermostat?". & don't get me started on duvet demands. Dontcha just luv 'em.

Here ya go ... a controversial comment. The thermometer won't mean nofink to me ... If the suns out I'm riding the T/Bird. Peeing with rain and cold ... I'm in the pub.

Seriously, I ride every day all year round. I do like to look at the thermometer on my bikes and I always like to see the time ... If I'm likely to arrive somewhere too early I'll take a longer route. Wouldn't want to get home too early would ya ... chores await those that are ill prepared.

They look good.

Probably entirely superfluous from where I stand, but they look good.

Some of us who have spent lots of money on chrome accessories purely for their aesthetics, can't see any difference.

I don't think the thermometer is actually going to tell you the temperature of where your going before you get there however. It would prove to be even less reliable than the Met Office.

Because it is nice not to rifle though the gauge set to find the clock when you can just look at the handle bar. Also, having a thermometer is nice to have if it is really hot or cold to help you plan better for a ride or to let one know it is below freezing (ice).

WOW, sounds like you haven't been riding long. I leave the clock always visible in the dash so it only takes a quick look. Thermometer? When it's hot, it's hot, and I don't need a thermometer to tell me that. If it's cold and a chance of freezing, bike stays in the garage until it's safe to ride. I NEVER ride when there's snow or ice on the road. That's just asking for trouble IMO.

I use the old fasioned meathod of looking out of the window, if the suns out and the road is dry and everybody is out in a t-shirt it's warm (except in Newcastle, they don't wear a coat no matter how cold it is). If it's 2 feet thick in snow and evryone is out in hats, gloves and yetti boots it's cold, I dont need a guage on my bike to tell me that. If I still need to go out I just take the yam.
I think less is more but everone is different, I once saw a Hog with an ash tray

Yeah that's right, only been riding about 3.67834 days now, that is why I have over 25,000 miles on the bird now... Anyway, I keep the gas gauge selected on the LCD display not the clock... Being such a green horn and all, I would not want to run out of gas... As for the temp. for example, you could have gone for a ride when it was in the low 40's (F) and then coming back when the temp has dropped. It is nice to know if it has fallen below freezing. Also, when it is really hot, lets say about 110 F (like it was going through Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas this summer) it is nice to know it is that hot so you know to stop more, not push as hard, and to make sure you stay hydrated. I ride all year around. I wont ride if there is a chance of ice being on the ground, other than that my Gerbing gear keeps me toasty well below the freezing mark!

If its cold I go out, if its hot I go out. If it gets too hot , I flick on the Aircon.

Time is irrelavent to me when riding.

The petrol gauge is all I need to tell me how much fun I have left before I have to stop.
