| Posted : 26 Apr 2012 - 15:27 Post title : Issues with Joker machine oil pressure guage | | I'm having an issue with the billet "L" bit. After a couple of weeks of running it leak free it started weeping out the hole for the allen bolt. Pulled it apart, cleaned and checked everything before reassembly, leak actually got worse. I removed it and put the stock cover back on. I plan to email Joker directly but thought maybe someone who was running one might have some insight.

Check and see if it's still in place. When you reassemble it with a new o-ring put a little bit of Vaseline on it so the treads don't cut into it.

I knocked them down with some emery cloth and will try to reassemble once i get the new ring and bolt.

The only way to know or detect it is; stretch the o-ring slightly with a couple of small screw drivers or needle nose pliers. This will show any cuts or small abrasion on the ring.
Hope it solves your problem.

I'm quite interested in this oil pressure gauge, could you post a link or even better -a photo from this device?
Cheers, Derek

This is annoying cuz there isn't a lot to go wrong here. Tried 3 different size O rings just to see, still nothing. I even checked the passages with compressed air to see if they where open with the bolt hole.
I'm feeling kinda stupid here. I'm not a mechanic but I've rebuilt several engines and the fact that this inexplicably leaks is driving me nuts. Back to the stock bolt again.......starting to wonder if I really need to know what my pressure looks like.

I finally dug thru my package out of the garage trash and looked at it. Sad part is I used some on the gauge. Seemed unnecessary at the time given the O rings and simple enough that apparently I did not read the package.
Ill make another attempt, thanks for the advice.
