| Posted : 21 Apr 2012 - 02:05 Post title : Ladies leather jacket - help | | After searching far and wide I couldn't find a leather jacket that I liked here in Oz so I ended up ordering in a BMG Montana mens leather jacket from the states and am stoked with it. The BMG is everything it is reported to be and more. Now I have the problem of finding a nice / similar styled ladies leather jacket for the bride. Can anyone suggest a suitable ladies jacket that has a reliable sizing chart etc.. for internet purchasing. Apparently BMG say that they don't make a ladies cut jacket however plenty of women have purchased the mens in their size - don't know how this would go as believe it or not my wife has a slightly different body shape than a man (thank god). Any advice would be appreciated, Dan

I am neither so I had mine tailored to fit me. The womens jackets are too short in the back for me, and the mens jacket is too long in the arms, so the only alternative was to have it tailored to fit properly. There is nothing worse than a draft up your back when you are riding! Although the tailoring can be expensive its worth the money for the correct fit.

Their women's sizing charts ask for chest, height, weight ans stomach. You can also call/email them with other dimensions like sleeve length. I believe they will do custom sizes as well.
They are made here in the US and will ship abroad. Link

Of course, if you want the ultimate custom fit, it would be a Langlitz, but that would cost twice what your BMG did, and you would have to wait a couple months. I tried that BMG on last December at the bike show, and I nearly bought one. I got lucky and picked up a Triumph Rivton new, for 160.00. Couldn't pass it up. I really like the Triumph jacket, and so did my girlfriend, she just liked the Icon better, and she is quite womanly in the chest region.

Its not bad but I'm little disappointed with the quality (stitching etc) also the arms seem to be really big (my mrs doesn't have guns like Arny). Anyway those are the risks you take when ordering over the net and importing products. All in all its a very girly jacket with the diamonties on the icon label and the jackets female figured cut. Thanks again mate, saved me searching the net for ever. Cheers, Dan
