Helllo all

Has anyone ever considered installing or installed Rocket Tourer hard saddle bags on T-bird.
Looks like they might be big but they sure look sharp.

Thanks
John

i think the rocket bars are 1 inch so you would have to change the risers too.

I have been on a quest for some decent bags and have looked at that as a possibility. I looked at a R3 with bags closely and agree they look good. It also looks like it may be a mounting nightmare not to mention having to give up a left nut to buy a set. Plenty of options in hard bags out there for a lot less. I have settled on HD Road King Classic leather hard bags to avoid painting. Should have them mounted in the next couple of weeks. There is a member on here with a slightly different set of Road King bags and they look great.

Eskerinola you helped inspire me with similar bags Road King also offers a differnt style with buckles as shown in next pic.

I will remove the buckles add a lock kit as pictured and then add my 6x9 speakers with the cycle sounds bezels.

Then finish with likely this badge

Although I thought perhaps even this.

I am ordering both to see what they look like against the bags. Mounting might be a bit of a challenge but I'n not to worried about it.

I have Hardstreet slims on now in black with matches paint nice . I do like them alot. I think what I liked about the Rocket bags is shape and frame. I do like the Road ing bags but would like to stay with hard bags.
I agree they are probably big bucks and a bitch to mount. I love the Thunderbird badges shown above, maybe putting those on the slims can hold me over till I find the perfect bag. Maybe a place to look will be a "bagger accessory"company.

Part Number is 82-4663 I ordered them from BritishSpares.com in New Zealand.

There is one on ebay which lead me to a google search. Easier if you search using "Triumph 82-4663"
From what I searched it is chromed metal

There is also this one pictured

This one is plastic item # 83-8546

The one with bird is I believe chromed plastic

item # 83-8191

You want something different that look good, take a look at the vintage bates saddlebags. Easy enough to google and not high dollar. Other interesting bags are buco and wixom

I love the set up, could you post some more pictures of the bags and the mounting systems you used for the side bags and top box.

I'm generally not a fan of the out and out tourer setup but I have to admit your bike looks the business, it's gorgeous.

Eskerinola,
I am curious about your windscreen. It doesn't appear to be a standard T-bird accessory. Is this a custom made screen? I'm looking at screens now for my Bird and would love to find something similar to what you have in this pic. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Shannon
