Hey guys. I'm getting ready to take the plunge on a bunch of seating accessories. Long haul rider, separate long haul passenger (cuz I ride solo mostly), QR sissy bar, luggage rack, and the solo tubular rack. Probably getting it all at MADSS.com, free shipping, etc.

However, on their site, in the "featured items" tab, they've got some "quick release seat screws" for the Bonneville, Thruxton or Scrambler. Wondering if anyone has these, or any of these bikes, and can confirm screw compatability with the T-bird mount(s)? Would love to toss the allen key and get a set of "knurled" end screws/studs, for fast(er) changeout of seating/luggage configs.

With a Storm, looking for black, and BC Customs has 'em for the above bikes...just dunno about t-bird fitment. May rummage through hardware store for something as an alternative.

Danke,
Jamie

All the thread patterns for the quick release bolts are the same and will work on the T-Bird. I run these so they won't interfer or damage the seat and they work quite well;

I got tired of fiddling with the allen wrench and having to push the seat up to get at them along time ago. These fit with a slight protrusion unlike the longer ones and look considerably better.

Sweet, TB...were these from the BC Custom stock, or different source? Got a link or other info?

Hi

I got fed up with the allen key fiddling so had a look at the Bonnie's knurled screws ..... Tried them in the local dealers (threads all OK) but they're about 25-30mm too long.
They're now with the local engineering shop being shortened.
The threads are being reinstalled more as a double ended 'stud' type fixing as the Bonnie screws are a very light weight and when they were dropped off we thought they were a coppercoated/chromed ally. Hence the stud type threads for some strength.

They should look good shortened.........I'm running the single seat.

Photos when all finished.

Cheers

Are the one you have depicted in your post actually the one for the Bonnevilles Etc. or did you get them fabricated?
