Eagle Rider rents all kinds of bikes now. Looks like you can rent Trimphs in Miami Beach, LA, Sandiego, Mrytle Beach SC Richomond, VA/ and Chicago. Link

They do have TBirds - I looked into it but are way over priced for a rental. Only selected outlets - LA being one of them.

There's 1 essential problem here, that is, we really don't need a top gear indicator, or do we?.... the fact is that we're all not that bad at counting to 6, BUT, we're ALL having so much fun, we forget, and try for a 7th gear

To be fair they certainly sound impressive but you have to be careful when backing up to a kerb!

Who was our member that was always trying different exhausts? I'm sure he had similar on his bird at one stage.

It is a 007 apparatus to spew smoke on unsuspecting bikers trying to pass. It is not like the bike has enough power to prevent the passage so it has to rely on Q to make dastardly gadgets for the HOG...

I quite like the idea of having a couple of bedrooms on the back.

Another day, another coast and another Road King. Seeing as you sarcastic blighters enjoyed ripping the piss out of my brother's bike so much, I thought I'd post another. I've been out with a mate to the East Coast this time and he too has the old fishtail exhausts on a Road King:

All it needs are some curb feelers...

Hey you had to know that we were going to rip your brother's bike since it is a HD with wheelbarrow handles on it. Are they there encase it breaks and someone has to push?

Of course you have to push it. It doesn't have a throttle. It has a volume control instead.

I'd have been disappointed if the bait hadn't been taken Chris! It's actually been towed more than pushed (but then I can't laugh about that too much anymore because mine keeps going wrong too).

At least the RK comes with what appears to be decent panniers.

Not the crap leather bags that go out of shape.

Well the bait looked tasty so I had to bite!!! If the tow master is like Thatch then the pipes will allow for a wheelbarrow push...

I agree with the review, however, i have one thing to add: The fork springs are WAY too soft and the front end dives (frighting so) under hard breaking applications. It will bottom out if you apply the breaks quickly.

it was terrible!!!! i did the progressive upgrades on my ultra classic, that thing was horrible tho, suspension and brakes are dreadful coming off the tbird to the point that i bought a different americian touring bike

If I ever take a road trip across the States, which I will one day, what will I get ? A Harley of course. What should I get ? A BMW K1300 GT ? A Honda ST1300 ? A Ducati ST3 (best ride IMHO but not reliable)? A Triumph Sprint ? A Kawasaki GTR1400? A Yamaha FJR 1300?

All of these bikes perform and are better for touring long distances but are they as cool?

God I can waffle.

Those pictures are spectacular ........................................

Dont forget about Victory!! By far the Tbird and Victory cross country have drawn more attention then my HD ultra classic have
