nvm id had a couple of sheberts
ive not done much night time riding but in the mornings headlight seems rather dim. (then so am I )
but looking behind the headlight glass it seems almost a dull white reflector, is this normal ? ive not seen another bird around here to compare.
theres a couple of bike breakers near me & i will ask around in my local club.
good luck with the search i dont think there easily available

The reflector should not be white, it should look like any other headlight but just too small. Mine gives out plenty of light it just don't look right to me.
Do you ever run up to Minehead? It's about the same distance for both of us, perhaps we could meet up sometime?

Coming over to the 'Bright' side then. She'll look better for it.

My standard TBird light, the glass took on a bit of a milky hue, before I swapped over, the Standard America is far better and brighter during midnight hours (I love riding in the dark)

Hope you source you lamp soon. I'll keep eye out.

Next time passing through on way home (Cornwall) I give you and xmoor a nod, maybe meet up on the way. Probably won't be until August time unfortunately.

Regards

I got a mine on discount from my local dealer - I would try that route (got about £75 off list) and it is a good time to get a deal. When I got the Storm I donated it to the helpMatLookCool fund - I'll keep donating 'cos he's got a long way to go before that happens.

If you mean near the bandstand thats where I usually park so we should find each other, I will let you know when I next run down.

Good, we will make it down as soon as the temp hits 25

As for lights the current America and Rocket touring lights will bolt straight in, early ameria and speedmasters will need a little conversion bracket bought/made to fit correctly. Alternatively a current speedmaster will fit straight in, it is the same size but is mounted differently so sits further back and higher. These are the only options if you want to stick to a triumph unit. Good luck and I hope we don't end up bidding against each other

Thanks Tim. Have these prices already but I can get them cheaper from my local dealer and am negotiating with Taunton dealer to come up with a better deal.
