Which I assume is the one you are referring to.

The standard ford tbird of that period ran a 0-60 in 7.0 but in 2003 they added the higher compression and variable intake-valve timing which dropped 0-60 to 6.5 seconds.

I'd be more than happy to roll against something like that.

That be the one!!If ya ever get a chance to drive one, you'll be impressed as it goes like ten bastards. That means it's pretty fast, not particularly off the line, but once it gets rollin, hang on.YAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Dave!!!

"Are becoming" would be an understatement.

Not the one he stayed in - that one was built in the 1980s. There was a whole chain of T-Bird hotels in SC, locations confirmed in Florence, Columbia, and Walterboro... may have been a few others. I have been playing wth finding the actual locations for several years now... trivial pursuit of mine...

Is the Thunderbird Motel in South Carolina still operating?

Yup it is. I took my bike down for a photo shoot at the Motel 2 years ago shortly after getting my BB kit installed.

It's located in Florence SC some 30 miles or so (IIRC) south of the NC border on I-95. It's not that special on it's own other than the history (and the nifty sign) but it's just a few miles from Darlington raceway which in of itself is a great destination as well.

It's my understanding it is just the 'new' building for the old Thunderbird hotel. So much like Triumph it both is and isn't the original.

Hi all

I've found this thing in my holy hall aka. basement hobby room and I'm not quite sure from where I got that -guess it was a Pontiac? It's around 6 cm high and 7 cm wide.
However, it'll fit on the saddlebag

That came off of a 1970's era Pontiac Firebird. I was fortunate to be a teenager in the muscle car era and owned several Trans Ams during that time.

Oh guys give up! A Firebird is nothing against a Thunderbird, right? What about this?
