In case anybody has or is looking to install the Rivco Risers on an ABS Bird and needs the longer Front Brake Line Only the Triumph Part #A9620021 is the correct brake line and is about 4 inches longer than the stock line. After 7 weeks of waiting for Triumph to get it here I have test fitted it and it's correct, $75.00US.

G'day Eddy,
Just wondering if the Deuce risers on your site come in different bar sizes?
My Bird has Fatboy bars on it, and they are 1 1/4", not the standard 1" that most risers fit :(
I just need a bit of pullback to be in a more comfortable position - back pain is a bitch. These deuce risers look great, i just hope they are available for 1 1/4" bars.
Cheers.

Just in case somebody is interested and a bit of a handyman I can provide the plans for the following.
I am 1650mm tall (short...) and find them comfortable like nothing else I've tried.
Made of Aluminum, water jet cut, black anodized.

RIVCO's risers now come with a banjo bolt extension that takes care of issues with being too tight on non ABS bikes.

Hey Eddy,

Long time no speak, but I see you are still the great resource and font of knowledge you have been for us from the start. :)

A question about the extended cable kit... In it was only the longer throttle, clutch and brake lines.

What about the electrics? I was kind of expecting at least a short "extension" cable harness with a couple of plus and sockets on it, but not to be.

Or do the stock electrical cables coming from the two controls have a lot of give in them?

I'm planning of putting on some mini-apes on my bike. Ever seen anyone with those and know if the cables are all good?

Cheers,
Gonzo

Here is another view for NON ABS Thunderbird.

Rivco Risers and EVERYTHING still standard. When I first fitted the Rivco Risers I initally had a very slight throttle problem when turning hard left at idle So I took a bit of time and did some relocation of the cables from in front to behind the tripple tree and it all fits. The Front Brake Line is Straight /point to point but NOT tight and that dosent matter as it dosent move anyway.

Removed and Swapped over the Triumph Cable Retainers from in Front of the Tripple Tree to the Back of it.This also provides a little support bracket for the Saddleman Tool Bag from FES.

Relocated the existing throttle cables from in front to behind the Tripple Tree.

Relocated the clutch cable from in Front to behind the Tripple Tree

Everything is semetrical and works perfectly and not additions required.

I'd love if you came around to give me a slap... At least I'd get to SEE you for a change! ;)

I had a set of mini apes on my V-Star 1100. Very comfy and I think it looked alright. :)

Hey Gonzo and Fab,

Are you guys monkeying around about the bars? If you are taking time off over the Christmas/New Year peiod how about a ride out to the Hunter Valley ? We all need some riding time.

Ok guys, is this banjo bolt extension available as a separate part?

And can we clarify one thing as this thread states it both ways on ABS.

Is the brake line longer on the ABS model?
Or is the brake line shorter on the ABS model?

the brake line on the ABS model has more play in it because it follows the throttle cables down under the tank, you can get another 1" or so of height out of it, with non abs the cable is hooked up at the bottom tree and from what i gather is pretty tight and has very little room for play. I added another 2" to my Storm risers and had to change the cable and i have ABS.

I've rerouted the brake line to the right of the top radiator hose and remove it from the clip in the frame. I gained about 3/4"
I think it's doable but I'll know for sure soon enough when the parts get here.

I'm planning to install 2006 Triumph America bars with the Deuce risers.

Do you know it the banjo bolt extension is available as a separate part?
