I've bought some compromise 8x6 where the numbers are almost full size but it still looks considerably better than the stock huge 9.5 x 7.5. Trouble is, when it is affixed with the double sided sticky pads, it is only secured at the top. I can't use screws becuase the holes would fall where the numbers are. I'm worried that with a bit of speed it might come off and cause damage to another vehicle. I'd love to use the license plate holder that Triumph supply but it's too small. Does anybody know of an 8x6 holder, or a backing plate that can be screwed to the small existing black plastic bracket?
thanks Ian

Have you thought of buying black screws and going through the numbers, it's legal and might solve your problem.
