Sorry if I keep asking questions that have already been asked but I do try forum searches first.

I borrowed my brother's Road King and didn't like the footboards (that said it is early days for me, as this is my first cruiser). So, I decided not to get the boards for the Thunderbird but the passenger pegs look awful. Can anybody point me towards some nice aftermarket ones please?

thanks
Ian

Sorry I have no experience mate! I still have the stock pegs on there.

I thought that the OEM passenger boards - especially the 'Chrome Line Edition' - looked and felt good!?

But that's only from those I heard telling.

Yeah, I thought they looked good too Birdy but wont it look odd with pegs on the front and boards on the back? I'm not sure being new to cruisers.

I might still opt for boards front and back, as one thing I have noticed is that my right foot does seem to vibrate almost off the peg, so i have to keep slight pressure on. Does anybody else get that? It's even more noticeable now I've bought some cruiser style boots with less grip on the instep than my previous ones.

Oak,
Do you ride with a pillon ?
I don't , and I removed the pillon seat and rear pegs .
Gives it a cleaner look.
By the way , welcome to the Looney Bin

Have a chat to Fast Eddy (here is a member here).

I got off him the Kuryarkin Dually plus adapters.

They look great and my wife doesnt get sore feet now (The stock ones are like putting your feet on a pencil....)

Nope - I don't get the vibrations to that extent!

Actually, my rear pegs are almost covered up with my Pony Bags, so you don't really see them.

But when I'm cruising for long distances at higher than average speeds, I relocate my feet to the little bits of the rear pegs that stick out from under the bags! This gives me more of a forward leaning angle and gives me more comfortable riding position with the stronger wind forces.

Have a look at this thread - it mentions a few options for rear pegs (you will have to wade thru a little at the front in regard to a wheel mishap).

Damn - having trouble with the link - it goes to last page.

Do remember that Birdy still wears Plimsolls and on a straight stretch of road can go for a walk on his bird due to his ... compact size. If I try to put my feet on the back pegs my knees scrap the ground...

I was going to mention that I sometimes use the rear pegs - but I'm not going to mention it now that will be classed as compact.

Thanks all, plenty to think about there. I like the look of those Kuryarkins. Surprised there doesn't seem to be a UK dealer.

Take a look at the Kury Wings. I put them on the back as I do not care for floor boards. The girl friend loves them and they look good. FYI BE CAREFUL of the Duallys. I bought two sets from two sets, one for my driver pegs and another set for highway pegs. Both are pitting and bubbling in less than two months. The wings have been on since March with no issues.
