I got one of these as a freebee from Adidas when I bought something last year but never wore it. Last month while out on the Bike I stopped at Everglades Holiday Park where a lot of bikers hang out on Sunday. One of the guys was wearing one and I asked him if it did him any good. He said it stopped the tingling in his fingers while riding long distances. Next weekend I was heading to Jacksonville (300 miles one way) so dug mine out of the drawer and put it on.

When I got to Jacksonville, there was no numbness or tingling in the right hand and I had forgotten I had it on until my grandson asked about it. I gave it to him and on the ride back to Pompano; the numb tingling feeling in my hand was back.

I bought another one (the cool black one with the skull and crossbones) and have been wearing it every time I ride. I know this is probably psychosomatic but it really does look cool and starts a lot of conversations. Probably won't work for everyone but it does for me.

They also have ones with Flags from many countries and the Union Jack really looks awesome.

So you came up to Jax and didn't let me know. I suspect you are trying to avoid buying me that beer at the Bayard Rooster?
How've you been? Any changes on the Bird? I've not done anymore since I met with you but considering the big Bore after the Holidays. By the way Happy Holidays

OK, I sent for one. I hope it stops the "tingles!" I'll let you know.

Hi Jango,

It was one of those rides where there was no plan. I thought I would ride to Melbourne for lunch then back but I had just installed the riders backrest and throttle lock I got from Fasteddy and the ride was really enjoyable. When I got to the exit I thought: I haven't been to the Kennedy Space Center in awhile so maybe I will get lunch there. Well, as I cruised on by the exit for the Space Center I thought I might as well go to Daytona for the EXCELLENT barbeque at Destination Daytona. I did stop there for lunch and it was as I expected (yummy).

When I got back on the bike, I thought, might ride along A1A to St. Augustine and look at the ocean and white sand for awhile. Went through St. Augustine and continued up A1A to Jacksonville Beach. Since I was there, I called my son and asked if I could spend the night and headed back to Pompano Beach on Sunday.

That's what happens when you're on the Thunderbird. Always looking for a place to ride and forgetting about the time or anything else.

Next time I get anywhere close to N. Florida, we will meet at Roosters and the Brews are on me.

Hi feduke,

I got the one with the Skull and Cross Bones because I liked the look and also the story that goes with it. Link

I always look for all the help I can get while riding and liked the part "provide safe travel and good luck".

I also have a Gremlin bell hanging off of the hole under the right foot peg and haven't had a road demon (also known as evil road spirits) bother me since I put it on.

Same deal Jango. I ride up to JAX frequently or, if you're near St Augustine or Daytona let me know.

I once mentioned on a forum that my hands were going numb and one of the members who was a doctor suggested I might have "carpal tunnel" problems and not vibration in the handle bar problems. I had tried one of the ION bracelets with no luck and it got so bad I had to stop and pull over a few times an hour. He suggested a magnetic wrist brace:
and that I wear it as much as I could. I wore it on my next ride and damn if my hand stopped going numb.....I have not seen them in other than black or blue but it gives me an idea for a new biker product. This worked for me but as we know, YMMV.

I have the same problem and was told it is Reynaud's Phenomenon.Look it up on the web Wikipedia gives a discription that fits me to a "T" This condition is amplified by cold, vibration and stress (I get stressed when it starts getting cold and I'm on my bike)
I use heated gloves now, but heated grips help also. The gloves obviosly heat all around each finger.
I used to have to put my hands (gloved) on top of the valve covers to get them warm so they would'nt go numb.
What a pain in the @$$ or fingers as it were!

I followed the herd and I got lost,
I went my own way and now I am found.

My little bracelet just arrived but it's a wet, cold (for us) day so maybe I'll know if it works or not by Wednesday. Hope so!

I'm not a believer in the whole magnetic thing. However, a brace, which is what you have pictured, will give you extra support and should help.
