Hi,

I'm a total believer in front visibility, so as well as having a light bar I'm now going to fit me some Motolight caliper-mounted babies. My question is, should I wire into the aux lighting circuit (given that I already have a light bar) or to the main lighting circuit? I will never turn them off (in fact I always have the light bar on, despite it being switchable).

Any issues anyone might have with wiring them in?

Thanks

- Pasta

If you don't wire them with some provision for turning them off you will have a big battery draw if you need to work on the bike with the ignition turned on. They draw the battery down quickly. I found that out the hard way.

They are great though, particularly mounted on the calipers.

Thanks! Do you foresee any problem wiring them into the same loom as the lightbar in that case?

I have no idea what draw that line is fused for. However, the stock wiring harness has a relay so there should be no problem as long as you use it.

Hey, new people come in and I don't expect them to go back through all of the old posts. What an old grouch!

Yeah, me too... my WHOLE day turned to crap because of it.

That's the problem with these types of forums in general... we all TRY to post in the right categories, but everything still pretty much sorts out chronologically and most forum search engines (sorry Bedouin and Boomer, but this one included) simply don't work well enough to deliver real world results.

What happens is, for us regulars (ie: guys with WAY too much free time ), the "Latest Posts" list starts to feel like the movie, "Groundhog Day".

Sorry if I was grouchy. At least this site isn't as boringly repetitive as TriumphRat.net
