Here are some pics inside and out of the bags. They are new for this model. For these bags mounted without the triumph sissybar Leatherlyke supplies two 8 x 40mm and should supply two 8 x 50mm's They supplied me with four 8 x 40's but 40's are to short for the center bolt replacements. The 40's replace the rear bolts and the 50's replace the center. I advised them of the error, if you order make sure they supply 50's also in addition to the 40's. I went to Fastenal and bought two 50 stainless steel socket heads just to save time. If you have the quick release sissybar they also supply 8 x 70mm to use. I advised them of it so hopefully they will update the mounting kit with the correct bolts for the center. They are a great value for the money. Plus you can lock them. They also have a hook at the back of each bag you can lock your helmets to by closing a locking the lids, a great idea.

Hi Spider,

Many thanks for the info and then the photos. Not sure they are the best looking bags I've seen, but they are probably the most practical. The useful space looks to be the biggest of all those bar maybe the Road Kings, the lockability is ideal and the helmet lock is just the icing on the cake.

It looks as though the spring clips just pull off for easy removal. Is that really just for overnight stops and a bit spikey or ugly for regular use with bags removed, or is it practical to use the bike with the fittings still in place bike with or without bags on?

Cheers again for the photos!

Actually look pretty decent in person, sort of old school 80's saddle bags ie the old Kaw Concours bags. Custom painted would look great. They told me I could have my custom paint shop paint them. As for the spikey look of the mounts if you take the bags off they dont really stand out to the point of being ugly since they colorwise tend to blend in with the wheel finish. Im going to keep the bags black for now but may consult with the paint guy for a custom job in the future. For the money I feel they were worth it, didnt see the Triumph bags as worth the cost plus the sagging issues and no lock. But it all boils down to personal preferences and what your needs are to find the perfect balance between looks and functionality. The rear post is mounted to a L bracket which is attached to the rear and middle fenderstrut bolts. I would of prefered a more invisible mount but these arent bad. The front post has a built in bolt and you use a spacer they supply unless you have the quickrelease back rest where you would then use the spacers for the back rest and not the ones they supply. I will update on how they hold up to long term use. As for the clips, yes they come off easily but but I wouldnt take off on a regular basis, unlike the Kaw Concours bags they arent really designed as removable luggage. Will get some luggage type liner bags to use inside. I bought a frozen food bag from my grocer that works great, it folds up and keeps your groceries cold if you have to stop on the way home for icecream, milk etc.
