Willie and Max is looking for a Thunderbird owner that lives in Wisconsin that would be interested in letting them use your bike for fitting there new Touring Kits. I would let them use my bike in a heart beat but I live in RI. I know they are owned by DOWCO which makes Iron Rider Bags and other Items. Also by talking with them at shows they make the hard bags for all the bike manufacturers. Also told they are in talks with Triumph. Anyway anybody interested in this let me know.

I'll get a hold of them. Have spoke with them in the past. They began their business making saddlebags for Triumph because there were none out there to fit the bikes in the 60's. Sounds like somethings never change.

I just e-mailed them, will call tomorrow if I don't get a rapid response.

Any progress on this? (That is the set up I am looking for. I'm not a big fan of the Corbin.)

Dowco has been really good with replacing my Guardian bike cover that wore out after 2 seasons. They asked for a small part of it and promptly sent me a new one. Really good customer service.
I would be really interested in both hard bags and a fairing as well.

I put my name in the hat with Willie and Max for a full kit when it's ready for the TBird. Hope Eddy can work with them to get the fitment squared away. This is very encouraging.

It will be interesting to see what Willie and Max come up with for a touring kit, I'm also interested in a quick release fairing other than OEM windshields.

Is that a quick release fairing, similar to what is on the Triumph OEM windshield brackets? Does Tsukayu make that Fairing for the T-Bird, or did you modify the brackets from a Honda or Harley designated fairing? Looks great and thanks for the info..

It is quick release and I did not have to modify anything. I only spent a little extra time making sure the alignment was good so it would release easily. Tsukayu does not know they make the batwing for the Bird. I had them give me some dimensions and it fit perfect. This pic shows the mounting on fork tubes. You can also look in my album for other pics. This is the small batwing for dyna , sportster. I bought without radio & speakers because I heard their speakers are weak. I have polk marine front and 6x9 rear so I can hear my music at nearly all speeds. If I were to do it again I'd buy what they offer now since they now have handlebar control option. They did not have this when I bought mine. I can always upgrade speakers anytime. By the way, 3 bolt Harley replacement windshields fit it as does the Kury batwing mirrors which I upgraded to.

If I were to order today, Tsukayu appears to be the only Batwing available, except for the Corbin. I would go for the Tsukayu. I guess the only thing small about the Small Batwing Fairing is the area for the 6 inch headlight, which makes the Reckless Fairing a no go.

Corbin told me about 2 weeks ago they no longer offer a fairing for the TBird. Reckless also told me they won't fit a Bird either and no interest in the Bird. Tsukayu and at some point down the road Willie and Max.

That oil issue was my fault by an accidental overfill.

You can always change out to the America or Speedmaster headlights like some some have in here and then you have a lot more options on Batwings. Something to consider.

Thanks for the reminder, I have an'04 TBA in the garage next to the Bird, that just may be a switch of headlights in the near future.

After a little more checking on options, I'm about ready to go with the Tsukayu painted black to match and the stereo with remote. I do have one question about the fairings wind buffeting. Do you feel that the height of the windshield plays much in the factor? I prefer to be able to just see over the windshield and seeing that i"m only 5'7", I'll probably go with the 5" shield. Any input on wind buffeting reduction?

I'm 6'2" and started with the 8" then ordered a 10" but both caused buffeting. The Batwing is slightly adjustable with 3 angle options when mounting which would factor in on the buffeting. Mine is in the last bolt hole forward meaning it's angled towards me which would increase wind flow. I left it that way because I like the look and fit. How much it influences buffeting I can't say. I ended up ordering a Harley 3 bolt shield 12 3/4" that works just fine and I can still see over it. The 10" wasn't bad but the wind still caught me on top and also really buffeted my passenger. I would think the 8 might be a better fit for you but I can't say for sure. I have both the 8 and 10 in new condition and you can have either or both for very little.

I'm looking at the Memphis Shade Spoiler windshield, Link would like to know if it is compatible with the Tsukayu fairing?

yeah i agree ,habuba, that memphis shade shield looks a lot better than the standard shield and wont have to be as tall to put the wind over your head. i wonder if the tsukayu fairing is available without the stereo stuff?

currently on a slow Harley but will have another Triumph eventually
