Here is a photo of my new screen from J&P Cycles - Slip Streamer Spitfire Sport Shield p/n - ZZ75311 $69.99 US plus ~ $10 shipping. (also newly installed grips with throttle boss).

That looks excellent Fred! It suits the Storm's headlight arrangement perfectly and I can see it's probably going to give better protection than my 999 screen does.

Do your throttle cables rub on the edge of the screen? I was considering routing mine the other side of the wing mirror stem until I tilted the screen away slightly.

Best money I ever spent.

Hey Domino - thanks! I just got in to work with my 38 mile door-to-door ride (32 of it highway) and the screen really does a decrent job of blocking the buffeting while still letting me hear a little growl from the pipes (cat delete with stock pipes). The throttle cables are close but do not rub. I am bit suprised that the grips don't absorb the vib's too much better than stock (had to remove the bar-end weights to install the new grips). Left is worst - tonight I am going to remove the little decorative end plate and try to fill the left bar-end with silicon RTV - might do the trick for the vibs.

Gonna post this as a new post also, but last night I had some kind of V-12 Mercedes try to drag race me at a stock light! I got the better of him easily, but I ran into the rev-limiter in first gear - not pleasant. On my old Bonnnie America it just went "flat" at the rev-limiter. The Storm goes into convulsions!

Hi Tabascofred - Think that screen looks great on the Storm! Think ill break down and buy one for mine. Did you get the mounting hardware from J&P cycles also? If so, do you happen to know the part number?

Comes with all mounting hardware - only two point mount. I have pictures at home of the kit and of the mounting method I used. Will upload tonight. J&P Cycles - Slip Streamer Spitfire Sport Shield p/n - ZZ75311 $69.99 US plus ~ $10 shipping.

If you mix some lead or steel shot ( I usually cut open a 12Ga shell for it) in with the RTV you will get more affective vibration cancellation. Ive found this method works as well as the "bar snake" products. I haven't done it to mt T-bird , But Ive taken a hard mounted V twin rigid from almost unridable to reasonable.

Good luck

Edit: It just occurred to me that not everyone has 12 Ga shells laying around or be particularly comfortable with cutting open a hot shell. I would go buy some lead pellets or BB's will work just a s well.

Thanks for the tip. Only issue is that on the Storm (not sure about standard T-birds) the bar-end weight has a fitting nut afixed inside the bar end - there is a small slit in the bottom of the bar that I was going to try to inject the RTV - can't remember how wide the slot is....
