Just was out on a cruise on my Strom-bird - nice, straight, 4 lane highway - nosed her over the century mark (MPH) and talk about smoooooth and stable! Was turning about 4,000 RPM. Damn but I love my new scooter! Just wish either Triumph would come back on the compression release mechanism hammering or it would beat a dent into the head and stop the flippin' hammering....

I'm not even sure the compression mechanism is needed. One of BigJack's broke off and he didn't notice any difference in starting. Didn't even know it had broke off the cam until the bike was in for the 12k service.
Kudos to our Triumph dealer. They had the cam in stock and had Jack ready for our recent journey right away.

Yeah I thought that was you that flew past my patrol car like a maniac. You are lucky that I was busy with my box of donuts and coffee or I would have given you a ticket.
