G'day all ,
I recently purchased a Windvest screen 14'' in size which I could not be happier with thanks to Dutch for his help and photos. A scala rider g4 intercom system which also is worth its weight in gold for phone use and music on the go. Which the volume automatically adjusts to outside changes in volume ie wind and exhaust noise and you can still here everything going on around you. A shout out to Fast Eddy for his sterling service on a purchase of a billet joker fuel cap and dowco overnight bag .Also fantastic items. On Saturday morning I set out for roughly a small 200km ride up into the hills and back. But I was so comfy I ended up heading from there down to the south coast ( Batemans) up and backaround to home (via Kangaroo Valley) and back home (Goulburn ) in the dark dodging Roos and Underground pigs(wombats) totalling 560km instead. Had an awesome day ride with awesome weather to go with it and just had to share. I'll post some pics of the windvest for anyone interested.
Its great to have this website as a resource for choosing new accessories to go with and on this bike. Alot of helpful advice.

Cheers Woody.

Dan,
I am waiting on Eddy to get back to me with a price on the National Flyscreen . I think a bit less wind on the torso area will make for a more comfortable trip . I like the look of the smaller screen. With regard to the title....has the "Leader of the Opposition"
wielded the razor on proposed spending in the Transport area ?
We have invested in a few units so I am finding it hard to make Major Spending in the Transport sector . But a few little ones
get past the Auditors

my advice is to get her "involved "

start by inviting her to select an attractive girlie t shirt - preferable when the sale is on £3

use the bike to treat her to a couple of outings to quaint cafes, you pay for the fuel and the transport, she pays for the nosh

she then will associate the bike with shopping and treats, is there anything more in a womans life?

like pavlovs dog

mention the tbird and she salvates linking pleasure to more pleasure

Rob ,I'm pretty sure you can get a price off his web site for that screen delivered to Aus. $149.77 for slight tint and around $160 for the dark tint (just click on international shipping) And no the leader of the opposition isn't that tough I just thought the title suited and I have been spoiling the Bird a bit lately but it could happen if I dont slow up.

Zolti, She is quite involed in all honesty Half the Scala rider is for her as well partly for the music the other part is to chat and also abuse me with a dig in the ribs if things get a bit to exciting. (lucky you can turn it off as well as ignore intercom calls)
She actually really enjoys all aspects of motorcycling. Maybe except when I'm ignoring her calls for tea on the table when I'm gorking at this website.

Glad to hear that your wife shares your passion.

I could understand if wives did start to complain about money spent. Hell I'm even getting concerned myself.

While I can justify most of my purchases as useful contributions to comfort and/or performance, I have found myself lately considering some purely cosmetic additions. I've even considered getting a mate of mine who does signwriting to submit some custom art ideas for the bike.

At least I haven't fallen into the chrome everywhere trap. Well not yet anyway.

Woody, you should do whatever you can to keep in your partners good books. That way you are more likely to be allowed out to Port MacQuarie in August. You could do like me and take her with you. Whatever it takes.

Regards Frank

I just said everything was Safety items. Then I bought her a Butty Buddy pillion pad, wider platform
and modded some Yama armrests for the Sissy Bar. "Your Safety items." She liked that but stlll
haven't got her on the bike. Extended La Nina rains.

Got a Long Tour Dual seat with the Rider backrest coming next week. More Safety items.

Maybe then some cargo straps and a blindfold for her and off we go!

You could always , only buy quick release , Hide it in the garage and don't tell her . Or do has i do and just tell her , Oh that , its off the old kawi , i had ,, Oh that , don't you remember its off the harley i had , It generaly works for me , except for the latest a national deflector screen and guess what , it actually is off my old vulcan i had years ago , but it looks so new she don't belieive it .

Not tested it yet but i know on the vulcan i did'nt like it, shook my head to peices. Looks good though blends in with the shape of the bike , .
I've got the T bars and it looks real good with them , It came with brackets for inch bars , but i took the highway pegs of my rt3 and used the bigger u clamps . although that windscreen does come with inch or 1"1/4 inch u bolts .

Has long has it keeps me from having to hang on for dear life whenever i'm over 60 mph i'll be happy , don't mind the wind in my face , but the rt3 has made me soft.

Hi Magpie,

I have installed a national Flyscreen from Eddy...$124.00 for memory, and worth it ! Works very well and not as noisy as the Triumph mid-screen. Looks good.so a positive purchase.

I've got the Flyscreen as well and it's made life on the bird much better, still get the breeze but the buffetting is much less and the rides less tiresome.

sounds a keeper dan

understand the calls for tea too
have you noticed if your cleaning the bike the call always seems to come just after the polish has gone on but never just after its buffed off.
