So I did this over the weekend - let me know what you think.

What I did:
Removed stock silencers.
Cut stock exhaust hangers - left side is back to the rectifier mount, right side is clean up to the passenger peg.
Took 2.25" Exhaust tips and welded those to short short 1.75" piping and clamped them straight on to the cat box.
Refitted stock heat shields.
Drank a beer.

Beginning of the day, test fitting pipe:

In the middle of, the pipe is fitted at this point - still need to shave the tank logos and fix those bars, thanks to my dealer for letting me use his lift often :)

After this, I removed the tank badges (for a cleaner look) and raked the stock bars back a few degrees. Let me know what you think - a couple more modifications to come in the next few weeks.

VERY, VERY, VERY!

I've been considering something similar... very cool to see it. Happen to have a video camera so we can hear what they sound like?

Great look, I would like them on my Bird. Any chance of a sound clip.

Cheers Chopper.

That looks really great - fantastic job

BUT now you need to spend some cash - chrome pulley, chrome lower belt guard and maybe even chrome swing arm covers!

The pulley is essential

Glad you guys like!

I like the black arm covers but I have been toying with 2 ideas for the rear and can't really decided what to do:

For the pulley, I either want to go chrome - or pull it and paint / clear coat the same color black as the bike (can't decide if this would look really good or really bad).

Second is, pulling the upper and lower belt guards (I know, I know - lots of safety concerns here) and just bolting the bottom one up if I need to quickly check belt tension. But I think showcasing that belt drive would be pretty cool as well.

Also, I've got the triumph leather tank cover and some easy brackets on the way - I plan to run a single saddle bag on the left hand side.

The storm rear pulley is black and looks really nice

And the black swing arm covers would tidy it up nicely.

Personally I would then add the chrome lower belt guard to set it all off

There's been a few that used the "Emgo" slip on/turn outs. Should be a pretty recent one here in the exhaust threads. Another guy on Facebook over in OR or WA area of the US.
