Does the product have it's own waterproof material or does it use zip out/in liners like Dryrider?

We are looking at $1000.00 here for jacket and trousers, needs to be cool in summer as well.

I looked at the whole Triumph clothing line when shopping for a new riding suit. I ended up with my AGV Sport Tempest/Telluride jacket/pants set and am very happy... so far. I got both for around $325 delivered from Revzilla.com, so WAY less than any of the other water-proof stuff I was looking at.

The Tempest jacket has a built-in Reissa (Gore-Tex like material) layer and the Telluride pants have a zip-out Reissa liner.

There's a continuing debate about external vs. internal waterproofing with the hard-core Adventure riders coming down on the side of 100% Gore-Tex shells over other protective gear. As for me, it was a cost vs. functionality issue... I wanted ONE set of riding clothes I could wear on my trip and I didn't want to have to pull over to throw on a Frogg Toggs "plastic bag' every time some sprinkles start.

I'll be shooting ALL my gear with Kiwi CampDry a few days before my ride... I'll probably split a WHOLE can between my jacket and pants. CampDry really works to repel water before it can even soak into the textile... it doesn't last forever, but should hold up for the 10K miles I'll be attempting.

Still, if a storm front looks stubborn, I'm probably gonna be looking for a dry place to wait it out.

has a windproof and waterproof outer. inside there is a quilt that you can use in winter and remove in the summer( jacket and trousers)
plenty of zipped venting if its still too hot

That's impressive value Narsisco, I guess they have a size chart and if so was it accurate?

We have a lot of nothing(other than bush) between towns here, and that is where I have found storm fronts lurk looking for Tbird riders without rain gear

The sizing chart was pretty close, but I wasn't too worried as Revzilla does free exchanges with shipping. Something doesn't fit, you just login to your account, click a few buttons and can print a return UPS shipping label... they ship your next size choice immediately... pretty cool.

Like I said on another thread, I haven't really had the chance to test this gear in a full rain... that's one of those tests I'm not in too much of a hurry to do

If you can keep your head when all around are losing theirs, then you haven't grasped the gravity of the situation !!!.

I have the new version-the Explorer line-and it woks very well. Been in 40 to 80 degree F temps-vents well-and three rainstorms now-works a treat as they say.

I'll still carry Frogg Toggs when required but a all-in-one suit is nice when I take off and the weather is "iffy" as there is no need to stop and all that. This is what I'll use on the east coast trips to the Mts. this season so there will be one less item to pack, etc.
