Up till now I have only driven with them when there are no cars around but due to many near misses lately I want to be more visible, but wonder if I am going to blind any poor bastard at night or attract the attention of the rozzers if I use them during the day? (I did have some motorcycle cops eyeball me big time when I had inadvertently left them on late arvo (they were heading in the opposite direction). I will appreciate any input.

The law states that if a car flashes it's brights at you, you have to go to low beams until you pass the car (even during the day), but as my instructor says, that just means he saw you and that's good.
Besides, the lights on the Triumph Auxiliary light bar are not "brights" anyway. Here in the states, everyone who has auxiliary lights uses them during the day.

Do you mean the Auxiliary lights/ driving / fog lights?
I have them on mine, but I don't usually use them around town, unless it's in a really dark area. Mine are only ON when on high beam, which is different to how they come - the dealer had to rewire them so that they only operate when the high beam is on.
