Looking for some advice with a problem if any of you people have an idea ?.

Swapping my 1600 Bird for a Storm next week and although I want to keep the looks of the Storm basically intact, the extra I really wanted was a screen having had it on the 1600 model. Having managed to kick the habit of eating flys and other general road cr_p I don't want to go back there especially with some particularly long runs planned for the summer.

I was in the dealer Saturday and looked at the small screen for the R3 which goes over the double headlights and a quick and dirty measure seemed to indicate it may fit - problem is dealer tells me today it just won't go on for reasons I won't bore you with and can't really be adapted in a way that wouldn't look a pigs ear.

Anyone know of a screen which may fit or be adapted relatively easily to fit the Storm ? - any sensible suggestions considered !!!

Thanks

Having looked at the R3 screen on saturday I still think its your best chance - even if you need slight alterations. The other thing is that a small screen will not keep the bugs out of your face but it does take a lot of pressure of the chest. You may have to search through the many HD custom add ons sites to find something. Also try Givi screens - they do a massive range.

I too was looking at the Rocket's screens - for me I believe if I were to install one then I'd be going for the:

Summer Screen
Part #: A9748040

Fitting possibilities....
But my dealer is currently fitting one to a Thunderbird! I asked them to call me when it's finished as I'd like to see it and make a YES/NO decision for myself.
Will let you know more when I know more.

Or you have the fly squatter option:

Errrr... No! Not for me.

These are the ones we were looking at and I think its the only Triumph screen that will look good on the storm. Unless Andy is the first person to convert from twin to single lamp ,then all options are open.

Testing out the National Deflector with a Storm owner, they just came in last night so will get it out to him today and will give report and fit and performance as soon as he gives it a go.

if you want a sportier look try the hps screen, check out horse or my album pics.

very comfortable and i think has a more aggressive look that would suit the storm
