Hi Vincent,

Well I can not fit my helmet into any of my saddle- / tail-bags!
I usually end up locking it to the frame!

I bought my saddlebags and easy-bracket fittings from FastEddy here on this Forum.

Leave the pork pies for now - get the sausage rolls while they're hot!

G'day Lee,

Curious about the "pouch" you have on the tank.

What is it? How is it mounted? etc.etc.etc

Eddie.

P.S. Best Sausage Rolls are here in Oz. www.fergusonplarre.com.au

Actually they have the best Non French pastries

Hi Eddie,

I can't quite recall who the manufacturer is of the 'Mobile Phone Case' - but it's water proof with a small inlet at the side/bottom to allow a power cable to go in.

The case actually should mount onto the handle bars - but I removed the rear fittings and then drill a 6 mm hole through the back - now I have fixed it to the lower bolt holding the chrome cluster to the tank!
Actually - I had to place a 5 mm spacer/washer so that the case didn't come into contact with the chrome cluster and also use a longer bolt - but that's logical once you see what I'm talking about.

Honestly said - it's in a dangerous place if you want to use your phones GPS, as you really have to take your eyes off the road!
But it's good to hold my phone while charging, my sun glasses and maybe a point to point list of towns when making a tour.
Plus it was cheep!

Regarding the sausage rolls - Oooooooh, I had some good ones last Friday! I found a new bakery in Zurich - and there were just two sausage rolls left over, waiting for me to take them!
They were really juicy - lots of taste to the meat inside and the pastry wasn't too flakey! Mmmmmm.... Fantastic with a hot coffee - just what the Doctor ordered!

STOP THE PRESS....

HOLD THE PHONE....

Look what I saw today:

Details:
- Tank badges from the NEW SPEEDMASTER (2011 edition)

Now those curves of the Speedy tank look to be VERY nearly like the same as the 'Birds!

Hey Birdy..

I like the black cases....but I also like the chrome...I could become a bit "bi-case ual" on that issue.

As for the 2011 Speedmaster tank badges....they are slightly different profile, they require some careful heating and remolding with a hairdryer.. I put these on my bird after your tank badge adventure.

here's what they look like..

cheers
Lou

Hi there pirsig,
Thanks for the complement.

Those 'very small' bags are actually old military leather ammunition holders!

I got them from a military museum near my home. Naturally, being leather they are actually brown in colour, BUT, with them being sooooooo old (those on my bike are 50 years old) they have darkened due to the years of polish/wax/oil/fett that have been rubbed into them.

I use them to hold my:
- 12V Cigaret phone charger
- Steering Padlock
- Packet of chewing-gum

I believe they cost me something like 12.-- Swiss Francs, but I'm not 100 percent sure about that.

Have a look around some military museums which have a 'shop' - you can get some good quality stuff there!
If you really want one and can not get them where you are, let me know and I can try and get one for you - but I can't promise that they will have any more.
