I thought that a bit strange and did not line up with what I saw with my test of these pegs (Which I have on my own bike). Well, these were loose... from the factory. There is a large hex head bolt on the adapter side (in board) this is what keeps the peg from rotating and hold the heel portion to the peg. This may be something you would want to check occasionally for loosening. Snug them up but don't over do it as they screw into a brass nut vulcanized to the rubber out board so I suspect you could pull it loose from the rubber if you get too zealous.
If you buy them from other sources you will want to check this before you put them on your ride. The ones that go out from me will be checked before they leave here when I wrap them up nicely for their journey to you.

But I did put a dab of Loktite on the outside hex screw after I got the right position. No more loosening. Really like them, and the wife does too, but she likes them folded, but it does give her more of a footprint.
